The CID is comprised of four squads of investigators: Robbery Squad, Burglary Squad, Financial Crimes Squad and the Theft Squad.  Additionally, the CID has computer forensics investigators, a finger print and tool marks lab, an AFIX fingerprint identification system, the evidence/property room, and the mobile crime lab.

The CID is responsible for the training and supervision of the Major Crimes Response Unit.

The CID’s mission is to thoroughly and professionally investigate every assigned case, facilitate prosecution where appropriate, identify trends in criminal activity, and develop proactive methods of addressing and preventing crimes.
