City of Tuscaloosa and Partners to Host Annual E-Cycling Day

The City of Tuscaloosa, in conjunction with the City of Northport and the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce, will host its annual E-Cycling Day Friday, Sept. 6 and Saturday, Sept. 7 in the back parking lot of University Mall. Gates will be open 9 a.m.-3 p.m. both days.E-Cycling Day is a free event open to all residents, schools and businesses to recycle unwanted electronic items that would take up valuable landfill space if thrown away in the garbage.Items that can be e-cycled include, but are not limited to: cellphones, computers, computer monitors, mainframes, keyboards, printers, scanners, fax machines, copy machines, digital cameras, camcorders,  video game systems, printer cartridges, telephones, record players, 8-tracks, typewriters, stereos, radios, CD players, projectors, VCRs, VHS tapes, cassette tapes, network equipment, computer parts and cables. Items that will not be accepted include, but are not limited to: televisions, household hazardous waste, household garbage, appliances and construction or demolition debris.Sponsors of this event assume no responsibility for any data left in the memory and/or the storage system of any and all equipment collected at the event.
