Tuscaloosa's Non-Emergency 311 Call Center
In June of 2007 the City of Tuscaloosa enhanced it's customer service efforts to the citizens of Tuscaloosa by implementing a 311 Call Center. The purpose and benefits of 311 are described in the section below and our stated goal is to meet the second Core Belief of Mayor Walt Maddox that the City of Tuscaloosa will be a customer friendly environment and our work will be open, efficient and effective.
What is 311 and what are it's benefits?
311 is a single, 3-digit phone number that can be dialed from anywhere in Tuscaloosa for all non-emergency inquiries on City services and information. You may report broken streetlights, potholes, get assistance with permits or licenses, get information on a City-sponsored event or report a problem with any City-related service. No more guessing which department to call or how to reach the correct person. Dial 311 and we will immediately connect you with the correct person or resource to assist you.
