VFW Post 6022 held a brief awards ceremony recognizing the Law Enforcement Officer of the Year and Emergency Medical Technician of the Year on Thursday, April 23, at 2:00 PM. The ceremony took place in the City Council Chambers.

Recipients for 2008-2009 are:

Tuscaloosa Police Officer David Martin – Post Level and District Level awards and

Tuscaloosa Firefighter/Paramedic Jay Leatherwood – Post Level, District and State Level awards.
