Mayor Lifts Emergency Declaration Effective Immediately

Tuscaloosa, Ala. €” City of Tuscaloosa Mayor Walter Maddox has lifted the emergency order declaring roads impassable, effective immediately.Numerous road closures remain, and a list will be updated online shortly. If a road or bridge is not closed, it could still be dangerous. Motorists are encouraged to stay off the roads. If you must drive, use extreme caution.Tuscaloosa Department of Transportation crews will be working through the day and coordinating with theTuscaloosa Police Department.
