Tuscaloosa, Ala. — Tuscaloosa City Hall will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 11 out of concern for safety of all citizens and employees due to the potential for hazardous winter conditions.

The City Council meeting and all committee meetings scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 11 are canceled. The pre-council meeting is rescheduled for 1:30 p.m. and the Council meeting for 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, weather permitting. 

Tuscaloosa 311 will be open Tuesday, Feb. 11 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for those who have questions or need to report an issue.

Garbage, trash and recycling collection will not occur Tuesday, Feb. 11. Collections for the rest of the week will be delayed one day -- Tuesday routes will be collected Wednesday, Wednesday routes will be collected Thursday and Thursday routes will be Friday, pending weather and road conditions on Wednesday.

The Tuscaloosa Parking and Transit Authority buses will not run Tuesday, Feb. 11.

All travelers are advised to use extreme caution while driving on icy roadways.
