City of Tuscaloosa to Host Second Annual Live at the Plaza Concert Series

Tuscaloosa, Ala. – The City of Tuscaloosa will once again host musical acts in Government Plaza every Friday night in June and July as part of its second annual Live at the Plaza concert series.
Each week’s free concert will run from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature a local band in the family-friendly atmosphere of Government Plaza, adjacent to the downtown parking deck behind City Hall.
Acts are currently being scheduled to highlight the diverse musical offerings of Tuscaloosa and the surrounding area. A kick-off event sponsored by BankFirst Financial Services will be held June 3 to begin the concert series and will feature music from the Matt Jones Trio.
Additionally, the June 10 concert will feature a bluegrass band Lickety Split and will play host to an open competition from the Black Warrior River Fiddle Fest. More acts will be announced as they are finalised.
