John Faile moved with his family to Tuscaloosa in 1962.He attended Tuscaloosa City Schools and is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Social Work. He worked at the Tuscaloosa Police Department from 1972-1997, retiring as a Captain. From 1997-2017 he was employed as the Director of the Tuscaloosa County Juvenile Detention Facility. John has been active in the community coaching youth league sports and serving on his neighborhood HOA. John is active at First Baptist Church Tuscaloosa. He and his wife, Nancy, have 4 children and 8 grandchildren.
