Tuscaloosa to Host 9th Annual July 4th Celebration on the River

The City of Tuscaloosa and Tuscaloosa County Park and Recreation Authority will host the ninth annual Fourth of July Celebration on the River at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater. This free, family-friendly event is open to the public and will be held in the evening on Thursday, July 4.
 
New this year, the City has asked the Tuscaloosa community to nominate a veteran or someone who is now serving in the U.S. Armed Forces or the Reserve for this year's Military Salute. Honorees have been selected and will be honored at the event and awarded with an Amphitheater ticket package for all remaining shows in the 2019 Coca-Cola Concert Series, and will receive on-stage recognition at the event.

5:45 p.m. Shuttle service begins
6 p.m. PARA Kids Zone opens, Amphitheater gates open
6 – 6:45 p.m. DJ Chuckie
6:45 p.m. Dive Bombers live performance
7:45 – 8:40 p.m. Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra concert
8:40 p.m. Mayor Maddox’s address and military salute
9 p.m. Fireworks begin
