New Deadline: City of Tuscaloosa Accepting Applications for Zoning Board of Adjustments

New deadline: Applications will be now be open until January 22 at 5 p.m.
 
The City of Tuscaloosa is accepting applications for one supernumerary position and two regular positions on the Zoning Board of Adjustments for terms ending September 30, 2026.
 
The Zoning Board of Adjustments was formed in 1959 to hear and decide requests for special exceptions, authorize any variances from the Zoning Ordinance, and hear and decide appeals where there is believed to be an error in any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the Zoning Officer. 
 
Supernumerary members shall be appointed to serve on such board at the call of the chairman, only in the absence of regular members, and while so serving have and exercise the power and authority of regular members. 
 
 Members must: 
1.   Be a resident of the City of Tuscaloosa
2.   Be available to attend monthly meetings
  • Meetings are held the fourth Monday of each month at 5 p.m.
