What information do I need to give 911 when I call?
First, always try to remain calm and speak clearly. Stay on the phone with us until the operator tells you to hang up. Tell us the type of emergency (accident, robbery, etc). Tell us the address of the emergency or where to send the officer(s). Is anyone injured, and is an ambulance or rescue required? If there is "suspect" information, give us as complete of a description as you can. In most cases you will be asked for your name. If you're calling from a cell phone while driving, make sure you can call us safely.
