I don't have any water. Who do I call?

Call Tuscaloosa 311 by dialing 311 within city limits or 205-248-5311 if outside city limits to make sure your bill has been paid. Call the Customer Service Office at 205-248-5500 to check your bill status if uncertain. If after hours, call the Ed Love Plant at 205-248-5630. There will be a $50 reconnection fee if water has been turned off for non-payment. If there is a break/leak in water line, call Water Distribution at 205-248-5952.


If bill payment issues are not the problem, someone will be dispatched to determine if City work or line maintenance issues have impacted water service. 

There’s sewage running out on the ground. Who do I call?

Call Wastewater at 205-248-5900.

Who do I call for boat traffic complaints?

Call the Tuscaloosa Police Department Lake Patrol at 205-349-0245.

What if a dead animal is in the lake?

Call the Lake Division Shop for removal at 205-349-0279.

What if there is a broken fire hydrant?

Call Tuscaloosa 311 by dialing 311 within city limits or 205-248-5311 if outside city limits. You may also call Water Distribution at 205-248-5952. The Ed Love Plant 205-248-5630 will know if water from hydrant is a result of lines are being flushed.

My water meter is leaking or box is filled with water. Who do I call?

Call the Office of the City Engineer at 205-248-5380.

Why do I have little or no water pressure?

Check the strainers on your faucet to make sure that there is no debris that may be restricting water flow. If the problem continues, call Water Distribution at 205-248-5952 or Tuscaloosa 311 by dialing 311 within city limits or 205-248-5311 if outside city limits.
