Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Service to donate truck to TCTA

Tuscaloosa, Ala. - The City of Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Service will donate a truck to the Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Academy Friday, May 10 at 1 p.m.The truck is a 1991 E-ONE fire pumper truck equipped with ground ladders, firefighting hose, assorted hose appliances, nozzles and hand tools. The Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Service previously used this truck as a frontline reserve apparatus placed in service when other trucks were being repaired.This donation will allow students to train with tools that are used daily by the Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Service. The donation ceremony will take place at the Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Academy, formerly referred to as the Tuscaloosa Center for Technology, located at 2800 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.For more information, call Tuscaloosa 311 at 205-248-5311.
