Mayor Maddox Extends Utility Non-Payment Grace Period for Another 60 Days

On June 11, Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox amended an executive order originally issued on March 13 to extend the non-payment grace period for city utilities. The amended order extends this grace period for another 60 days until September 30, 2020.
The original order was issued due to the concern of COVID-19 and the implications to health and sanitation for citizens to be without working water, sewer, or garbage collection.
