Jack Warner Parkway Closure Beginning September 14

Beginning at 7 a.m. Thursday, September 14, traffic will be restricted on Jack Warner Parkway from Greensboro Ave to 21st Ave. Local traffic only (business & residential) will have access from 21st Ave. There will be no through traffic access.
In late October, local traffic access (business and residential) will switch to Greensboro. There will continue to be no through traffic access.
This work is part of phase two of the Martin Luther King Jr Blvd/Jack Warner Pkwy Improvements project. Phase two is expected to be complete by the end of 2023.
Phase two improvements include:
- A four-lane roadway divided by a landscaped median;
- Six-foot sidewalks on the north side from Greensboro Ave. to 21st Ave.;
- Decorative roadway and pedestrian lighting, landscaping and irrigation; and
- Underground utilities.
This project is part of House Bill 600, also known as Transforming Tuscaloosa County, and is governed by the Tuscaloosa County Road Improvement Commission (TCRIC). For more information visit tcric.org.
