Acting Chief Severn “Sebo” Sanders
Chief Severn “Sebo” Sanders has been with the Tuscaloosa Police Department since 1997. Most recently, Sanders has served as Deputy Chief of Community Policing. Within this role, he led various initiatives including directing the Police Athletic League and supervising the Behavioral Intervention Team and School Resource Officers. Sanders has also served within the Traffic Division, as a Narcotics Investigator on the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force and on the Patrol Division. In addition to his time with the Tuscaloosa Police Department, Sanders also serves as president of the Fraternal Order of Police.
