The City of Tuscaloosa is pleased to announce our participation in the Alabama Department of Revenue paperless filing and payment system.
My Alabama Taxes (MAT) is the convenient and secure way to interact with the Alabama Department of Revenue to access a variety of online services.
Since Oct. 1, 2013, Alabama retailers can file and pay all city/county sales, use and rental taxes in MAT, the one spot to file!
The City of Tuscaloosa jurisdiction account number is required for filing electronically. Please see the instruction page on how to file using the internet.
The City of Tuscaloosa is a self-administered jurisdiction. Even though you file and pay online via the Alabama Department of Revenue, taxes will remain self-administered by the City of Tuscaloosa. The payment you authorize will go directly to the City of Tuscaloosa’s bank and returns will go directly to the City of Tuscaloosa as well.
