Talk on Cultural Impact of Migration to Be July 18 at Tuscaloosa Transportation Museum

Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Dr. Mariano Sana, associate professor of sociology at Vanderbilt University, will speak on the cultural impact of migration on Thursday, July 18 at 7 p.m. at the Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum.Sana will also discuss the current exhibit at the Museum, “Retablos: Miracles on the Border.” Retablos, a genre of folk art deeply rooted in Spanish history, represents the heart of traditional religious beliefs in traditional Mexican culture.A reception will follow the talk.Tickets are $5 and reservations are needed.
