Tuscaloosa City Hall to Open at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13

 Tuscaloosa City Hall will operate on a 2-hour delay Thursday, Feb. 13 and resume operations at 10 a.m. to ensure the safety of all employees and citizens. TDOT sanded New Watermelon Road near the Dam and the Hugh Thomas Bridge at 6 p.m. after slushy conditions were reported. TDOT will continue to monitor road conditions and temperatures and sand at the first report of ice or hazardous conditions.   TPD and Fire and Rescue Services have received no reports of weather related accidents. TPD has stationed units on both sides of major bridges in preparation for traffic flow. Fire and Rescue has staffed an additional rescue unit and is operating at alert status.The Tuscaloosa Parking and Transit Authority buses will delay operations until 10 a.m. Tuscaloosa 311 will remain open until 9 p.m.Environmental Services will delay routes tomorrow by 2 hours, but will complete collection:Wednesday routes will be collected ThursdayThursday routes will be collected FridayCity staff will continue to monitor road conditions throughout the night.
