City of Tuscaloosa Seeking to Fill Opening on Planning and Zoning Commission

The City of Tuscaloosa is seeking a qualified individual to fill an opening on the Tuscaloosa Planning and Zoning Commission. 

Created in 1946, the Planning and Zoning Commission guides comprehensive and coordinated development of the City. Some of the Commission’s duties include approving new subdivisions and recommending changes to the zoning ordinance to the Tuscaloosa City Council.

The potential new member is appointed by the mayor and must be a resident of the City of Tuscaloosa. Those interested in the position should send résumés to Heather McNutt at hmcnutt@tuscalooosa.com by Tuesday, May 23. Candidates must be able to attend Commission evening meetings every third Monday of each month.
