Tuscaloosa Police Department Headquarters Temporarily Moves

TUSCALOOSA, AL - The Tuscaloosa Police Department (TPD) Headquarters will temporarily move to a new location at 2501 Hargrove Road E. in the former Oak Hill School building at the entrance of Bowers Park. The new headquarters will officially be open to the public beginning Monday, Jan.13.
Tuscaloosa police spokeswoman Lt. Teena Richardson said the move will not affect TPD’s ability to respond to calls and all operations will function as normal. The Hargrove Road E. facility will house police administration, the records department and the traffic and investigative divisions.
TPD will be housed in this temporary location for approximately two years while renovations are completed at the department’s headquarters at 3801 Trevor Phillips Ave.
