City of Tuscaloosa to Host ‘Green Scenes’ Environmental Movie Series in June

The City of Tuscaloosa environmental services division will host the “Green Scenes” environmental movie series at the Richard A. Curry Jr. complex, located at 3440 Kauloosa Ave. each Friday in July.

Each movie will begin at 1 p.m. The schedule is:

  • Friday, July 2: “The Croods: A New Age”
  • Friday, July 9: “Raya and the Last Dragon” 
  • Friday, July 16: “Abominable"
  • Friday, July 23: “Onward”
  • Friday, July 30: “Tom and Jerry”

Attendees at this free event will learn about environmental stewardship through popular children’s movies shown on a big screen. Guests will receive a free bag of popcorn and refreshments provided by Coca-Cola Tuscaloosa. Adults must accompany any children under the age of 15. Guests are asked to have no more than five children per supervising adult.

This event is geared toward families with children. Groups of more than 10 people may arrange a private screening of the movie by contacting the environmental services office at 205-248-4900 or ESD@tuscaloosa.com.
