Holidays on the Plaza returns to Government Plaza on November 21

The City of Tuscaloosa’s seasonal ice skating rink, Holidays on the Plaza, will return to Government Plaza in downtown Tuscaloosa on November 21 and remain open until January 16. This event will feature outdoor ice skating, the Tinsel Trail benefitting Tuscaloosa’s One Place, private parties and other holiday festivities.
“Last year we moved our outdoor ice skating rink and the Tinsel Trail to Government Plaza, and enthusiasm for the new location translated into a 68% increase in skaters,” Mayor Walt Maddox said. “We are excited for the return of Holidays on the Plaza this month, and can’t wait to see how it continues to be a favorite holiday tradition for Tuscaloosa families and visitors.”
Admission to Holidays on the Plaza is free, but guests must purchase skate passes to access the ice rink. Skate passes will go on sale November 14.
