City of Tuscaloosa to Hold Ribbon Cutting on Sokol Park North Phase Two Improvements

The City of Tuscaloosa will hold a Sokol Park North phase two improvements ribbon cutting on Tuesday, October 17 at 9 a.m. at Sokol Park North (6250 Watermelon Rd).
Funded by Elevate Tuscaloosa, phase two improvements include:
- Repaving existing parking lot
- Adding a new traffic circle to improve traffic flow
- Creating a new parking lot near the baseball fields
- Storm drain improvements to help fields recover more quickly from heavy rain events
Phase 2 improvements began in Spring 2023.
