City of Tuscaloosa to Hold Groundbreaking for New Benjamin Barnes YMCA

The City of Tuscaloosa will hold a groundbreaking for the new Benjamin Barnes YMCA facility on Tuesday, October 24 at 9 a.m. in the McDonald Hughes Center north parking lot (3011 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd).
Funded by Elevate Tuscaloosa, goals for the new Benjamin Barnes YMCA facility include:

- Providing athletics, year-round child care and educational programming for children and families in both West Tuscaloosa and the greater community
- Offering amenities, programs and services that are complementary to nearby facilities
Construction is expected to be complete in 2024.
