Saban Center Forges Strategic Partnership with The Westervelt Company

The Saban Center, a first-of-its-kind campus seamlessly merging STEM and the arts, has proudly announced a major partnership with The Westervelt Company, marking a significant milestone in advancing the innovation and sustainability efforts throughout the state.

The Westervelt Company joins forces with the Saban Center to foster cutting-edge initiatives in environmental education, research and outreach. This strategic collaboration will help teach guests about sustainable practices while igniting a passion for STEM-based learning.

As a testament to their shared vision, The Westervelt Company will name the “Earth and Sustainability Gallery” within the Saban Center, highlighting the importance of environmental stewardship and conservation efforts. Through interactive exhibits and immersive experiences, visitors will engage in dialogue surrounding environmental challenges and solutions, inspiring action toward a more sustainable future.

Cade Warner, president and CEO of The Westervelt Company, emphasized the alignment of vision between the two entities, stating, “Our company’s success depends on the responsible use of the Earth’s resources. Thus it is a natural fit for Westervelt to partner with the Saban Center on the Earth and Sustainability Gallery.”

With a mutual belief in the transformative power of education, The Westervelt Company and the Saban Center are dedicated to inspiring the next generation of leaders, thinkers and creators. Through this partnership, they aim to provide students with unparalleled opportunities to explore STEM education, nurturing a holistic approach to learning that prepares them for success in an ever-evolving world.

We are uniquely positioned to be a partner of the Saban Center,” Warner said. “With the goal of reaching out to and educating students, the Saban Center reflects our own commitment to education. Together we will harness the power of education and innovation to address pressing environmental issues and empower future generations to become stewards of our planet.”

“It is a privilege to join forces with The Westervelt Company in our mission to create a dynamic and inclusive environment for learning and discovery,” said Audrey Buck, director of the Saban Center. “Their generous support and commitment to sustainability will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of STEM education in West Alabama and beyond.”

This strategic partnership not only marks a significant investment in advancing environmental education but also underscores the shared commitment of both organizations to investing in the future of Tuscaloosa and the broader West Alabama community.

“We are a 140-year-old company, and nearly a century of that has been here in Tuscaloosa. Over that time, we have become a part of the business landscape of the city, present for much of its storied history. We believe the Saban Center is the next step in elevating our hometown, and we feel very strongly that we must be a part of this next step,” Warner said.
