City of Tuscaloosa to Celebrate America 250 with Fourth of July Celebration on the River

The City of Tuscaloosa invites you to celebrate America's 250th birthday at the annual Fourth of July Celebration on the River. Join us on Saturday, July 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater for this free family-friendly event, featuring fireworks, live music, kids’ activities and more.
Residents and visitors are invited to celebrate the nation’s independence and reflect on the American spirit that unites communities across the country.
Schedule of activities:
6 – 8 p.m. Kids Zone in West and East Plazas (featuring face painting and inflatable games)
6 – 7:55 p.m. DJ Tank Performance
7:55 p.m. Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra performance begins featuring patriotic selections lasting through the end of the fireworks
9 p.m. Fireworks begin following brief remarks from Mayor Walt Maddox
Attendees are encouraged to park in the free downtown parking deck, located at 2230 7th Street, and take a shuttle or walk to the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater. Accessible parking will be available in the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater box office lot.
Please note that the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard/Jack Warner Parkway Improvements Project will be ongoing. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will be closed from just north of 6th Street to Jack Warner Parkway near the Nicks Kids Avenue intersection. For more information, visit TuscaloosaRoads.com.
