John Faile, a native of District 6, has been married to Nancy for 32 years. They have four children and eight grandchildren. A graduate of Tuscaloosa public schools and the University of Alabama, he served with the Tuscaloosa Police Department for 25 years. He later became Director of the Tuscaloosa County Juvenile Detention Facility, a position he held for two decades. He has volunteered extensively with youth sports and charitable organizations. He is currently serving his second term on the City Council.
Faile serves as the Chair of the Administration and Policy Committee, Vice Chair of the Public Safety Committee, Member of the Litigation and Insurance Committee, and Alternate for the Finance Committee.
