Cassius Lanier is a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He is the 5th child born to Aimee Patricia Richardson and the late Howard “Lip” Lanier. He attended Central High School and graduated from Stillman College with a degree in Business Administration. He is a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Epsilon Epsilon chapter. In 2010, he founded Community Unity – an organization through which community leaders provide assistance to families in the Tuscaloosa area. He previously served as a member of The Strategic Planning Committee for Habitat for Humanity and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Child Abuse Prevention Services. He’s also a member of The Impact Nation Fellowship Church where he serves as a Deacon. He and his wife, Mesha, were married in August 2010. They have 6 children and 4 grandchildren.
