City of Tuscaloosa to Host Tuscaloosa Builds: Contracting Basics Education Session

Tuscaloosa, Ala. - Tuscaloosa Builds, a City of Tuscaloosa program to help disadvantaged and women- and minority-owned businesses participate in City construction contracts, will continue a series of free monthly education sessions for contractors with Contracting Basics II on Thursday, August 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Municipal Court Room, located at 2122 6th St.
Additional sessions will be held on the following dates:
· Aug. 21: Contracting Basics II
· Sept. 18: Job Supervision, Management and Contract Accounting
· Oct. 16: Construction Drawings and Specifications
· Nov. 20: Forming Partnerships and Joint Ventures
Following the Aug. 21 session, the remaining sessions will be held in the council chambers at City Hall, located at 2201 University Blvd. from 5 to 7 p.m.
