UA Student Myles Morgan to Open for Blake Shelton

UA Student Myles Morgan to Open for Blake Shelton

Myles Morgan, a sophomore at The University of Alabama, is set to be an opening act for country music star Blake Shelton during his Oct. 17 show at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater in Tuscaloosa.

Born and raised in Birmingham, Morgan first picked up a guitar his senior year of high school, when he began teaching himself to play and write music. Morgan quickly gained traction at The University of Alabama where he began regularly playing at parties and local venues near campus. Shortly after, he began performing live at larger venues like the Flora-Bama and CMA Fest 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee.

“As a kid from Alabama and a student at The University of Alabama, it’s truly an honor to go from playing restaurants and bars in Tuscaloosa a year ago to playing a show at Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater with Blake Shelton," Morgan said. “It’s all God. Getting to do it on Tennessee weekend just makes it that much sweeter — Roll Tide.”

Morgan’s debut single “Nobody’s Fault but Yours,” released in summer of 2024, has already surpassed one million streams. He followed it up with “Is This Seat Taken?,” inspired by a memorable moment at Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium. He currently has over 100,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
