You must successfully pass each of the above-referenced steps to proceed to the next step of the application process.
Conditional Offer of Employment
If you are placed on the roster of eligibles and a vacancy occurs in the Fire and Rescue Services Department, you may be presented a conditional offer of employment. You will then be required to submit to and successfully complete the following:

- Polygraph examination
If you successfully complete all phases of the conditional offer of employment, you may be presented a final offer of employment. Your employment as a Firefighter will require you to successfully complete Firefighter I certification with the Alabama Fire College and Personnel Standards Commission and EMT (Basic) certification with the National Registry of EMT’s.
