City Council and Council Committee Meetings
The City Council and Council Committees hold all public meetings in person. The City broadcasts all public meetings on Comcast Channel 20, Facebook and YouTube. To participate in any of these meetings, please see the options below:
During the meeting, in person
Citizens can attend meetings in-person to speak. An appointment is not required. Committee Meetings are held in the Daugherty Conference Room at City Hall. Council meetings are held in Council Chambers at City Hall.
Tuscaloosa City Hall is located in downtown Tuscaloosa at 2230 7th Street. Please park in the free downtown parking deck and enter the crosswalk into City Hall from the fourth floor.
In advance by written comment
Submit a written comment by emailing cityclerk@tuscaloosa.com. Written comments will be distributed to the Council Members prior to the next scheduled meeting and kept on record.

Agenda Item Comments by Citizens
Citizens wishing to address the City Council regarding items that appear on the published agenda and are not public hearings are must sign up prior to the meeting at the table outside the Council Chamber on the day of the meeting. This will ensure comments are received before the item is considered by the City Council.
Citizen Comments and Other Communications
Citizens wishing to address the City Council regarding items not related to the published agenda, may do so during the “Citizen Comments and Other Communications” portion of the meeting. This portion of the meeting operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and there is no need to sign up in advance to speak. Each citizen has five minutes to speak.
Supplemental Information
To provide supplemental information (PowerPoint, handouts, pictures, etc.), please submit the information via email to cityclerk@tuscaloosa.com no later than noon the day before the meeting. External flash drives are not accepted. You are also welcome to bring hard copies of documents to distribute during the meetings.
