The City of Tuscaloosa City Council and Council Committee meetings holds all public meetings in person . Due to COVID-19 we are expanding public participation capabilities to protect the health and safety of the community. The City will broadcast all public meetings via our cable channel and on Facebook Live. We ask that all individuals wishing to observe the meeting’s activities to please watch via these options to reduce the number of people in the meeting rooms. Any person, so desiring, may participate in any of the Council Committee or Council meetings through video conferencing, or in-person provided they wear the appropriate face coverings. In advance by written comment. There's no need to attend in-person. Submit a written comment through the public comments form located at www.tuscaloosa.com/meetings or by emailing email@example.com. Written comments will be distributed to the Councilmembers for the next scheduled meeting and kept on record.
During the meeting, by video conference. Comments can also be provided by video conference by making an appointment no later than 10:00 am on the meeting date. To make an appointment, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the meeting name and date and your name in the subject line or call 205-248-5010 to speak with a staff member. You will receive instructions on joining the meeting by email.
During the meeting, in person. You can attend the meeting in-person to speak. An appointment is not required. For health and safety reasons, participants are encouraged to wear appropriate face covering(s). During the meeting, you will wait in designated areas and enter Council Chambers when called to comment during the specific designated time.
Any individual wishing to provide supplemental information (PowerPoint, handouts, pictures, etc.) may submit the information via email (email@example.com) at least 3 hours prior to the meeting. External flash drives will not be accepted for the Council Meetings. You are also welcome to bring hard copies of documents to distribute during the meetings.
