Ms. Raevan Howard was born in Tuscaloosa to former City Councilor Bobby Howard and Kim Howard. She graduated from Central High School and received a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Alabama.
Howard serves on the Board of Trustees for Culver Road Church, where she has been a member since birth. Councilwoman is also a Board member for the Bloody Tuesday Committee and Child Abuse Prevention Services. She serves on the Human Development Subcommittee for the League of Municipalities, Planning and Zoning Commission and Chair of Public Safety. She is the mother of 5 children, Hillary, Malia, Marcus, and the twins, Kristina and Kimberly.
Howard serves as the Chair of the Public Safety Committee, Vice Chair of the Community Development Committee, Member of the Finance Committee, and Alternate for the Properties Committee.
